Why Promote French Language Abroad?

Louisiana – a French Heart that Beats on American Soil
This immense territory was called “Louisiana” in honor of the King of France Louis XIV. Louisiana was a French colony within New France created in 1541 under the reign of François 1er.By early 18thcentury, French language in Louisiana had turned to a language of permanent settlers.It is a city that still retains much of its French-infused heritage since colonial times.
It is in this sense that we are supporting the spread of the French language in Louisiana in conjunction with cultural development.
